Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) Common for 1st & 15th Rajab and 15th Sha'abaan
Rajab Duas | Special Ziarat for 15 Rajab( Al Mazar) |
Shaban Duas | Special Ziarat for 15 Shaban (BaladulAmin)
This Ziarat is for 1st Rajab, 15th Rajab and 15th Shaabaan. It is related from Imam Sadiq (a.s.) that one who performs the Ziarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) on 1st Rajab would be forgiven by Allah. It is narrated from Ibne Abi Nasr that he asked Imam Reza (a.s.) what was the best time for the Ziarat of Imam Husain (a.s.). He (a.s.) replied: 15th Rajab and 15th Shaabaan.
Shaykh Mufeed (a.r.) and Sayyid Ibne Taaoos (r.a.) have mentioned that this Ziarat is for 1st Rajab and 15th Shaabaan, but Shaheed (r.a.) has prescribed it for 1st eve of Rajab, eve and day of 15th Rajab and 15th Shaabaan. Thus according to him this Ziarat is for six occasions. The method of this Ziarat is like this: When you want to perform the Ziarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) on these occasions, perform ghusl, wear ritually pure clothes and stand at the door of the Shrine facing the qibla and salute the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.), Ali (a.s.), Hazrat Fatemah (a.s.), Imam Hasan (a.s.) and Imam Husain (a.s.) and other Imams (a.s.). After this recite the dua for permission to enter and then enter. Stand near the Zari and say ALLAAHO AKBAR 100 times. Then recite:

Now kiss the holy grave and place your right cheek on the grave, then place your left cheek upon it, circle the grave and kiss all around it. Shaykh Mufeed (a.r.) says: After this go to the grave of Ali bin Husain (a.s.) and standing at his grave recite:
|
Peace be upon you; O the veracious, the pure, The immaculate, the dear, the favorite, The son of the basil of Allah’s Messenger. Peace be upon you; as you are steadfast martyr; Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you. How noble is your position and how honorable is your seat. I bear witness that Allah thanked you for your efforts, And He magnified your rewards, And he joined you to the exalted summit Where there is the entire honor In the elevated chambers. Similarly, He had bestowed upon you and made you one of the Household of the Prophet From whom Allah removed filth and whom He purified with thorough purification. Allah’s blessings and mercy and benedictions and pleasure be upon you. So, O the pure master; (please) intercede for me before your Lord So that He may unburden and relieve me from the loads (of sins) that I carry on my back. And (please) have mercy upon my humbleness and submission to you and to the master, your father. May Allah bless you both. |
|
Touch your body to the purified grave and say:
|
May Allah increase your honor in the Hereafter In the same way as He honored you in this world And may He bless you in the same way as He blessed others on account of you. And I bear witness that you are the signposts of the religion And the stars of the worlds. Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you |
|
After this turn your attention to the other martyrs of Kerbala and say:
|
Peace be upon you (all); O the supporters of Allah And the supporters of His Messenger, And the supporters of `Al¢ ibn Ab¢-±¡lib And the supporters of F¡§imah, And the supporters of al-°asan and al-°usayn, And the supporters of Islam.
labbayka d¡`iya all¡hi |
Here I am at your service; O the caller to Allah. |
|
in k¡na lam yujibka badany `inda astigh¡thatika wa lis¡ny `inda astin¥¡rika |
If my body could not respond to your call when you called for aid, and my tongue could not respond to your call for help, |
|
faqad aj¡baka qalby wa sam`y wa ba¥ar¢ |
Verily, my heart, my hearing, and my sight have responded to you. |
|
sub¦¡na rabbn¡ in k¡na wa `du rabbn¡ lamaf`£lan! |
Glory be to our Lord! most surely, the promise of our Lord was to be fulfilled. |
|
ash-hadu annaka §uhrun §¡hirun mu§ahhrun min §uhrin §¡hirin mu§ahhrin |
I bear witness that you are pure, immaculate, and purified; and the offspring of the pure, immaculate, and purified ones. |
|
§ahurta wa §ahurat bika albil¡du |
You are indeed pure, and you are the source of the purity of the lands. |
|
And pure is the land where you are, and pure is your holy mausoleum. |
|
ash-hadu annaka qad amarta bilqis§i wal-`adli wa da`awta ilayhim¡ |
I bear witness that you enjoined justice and fairness and you called to them. |
|
wa annaka ¥¡diqun ¥idd¢qun ¥adaqta f¢m¡ da`awta ilayhi |
And you are verily honest and veracious, and you were truthful in that for which you called. |
|
wa annaka th¡ru all¡hi f¢ alar¤i |
And you are verily (the object of) Allah’s vengeance on the earth. |
|
wa ash-hadu annaka qad ballghta `ani all¡hi |
And I bear witness that you did convey on behalf of Allah |
|
wa `an jaddka ras£li all¡hi |
And on behalf of your grandfather, the Messenger of Allah, |
|
wa `an ab¢ka am¢ri almu´min¢na |
And on behalf of your father, the Commander of the Believers, |
|
wa `an akh¢ka al¦asani |
And on behalf of your brother, al-°asan. |
|
wa na¥a¦ta wa j¡hadta f¢ sab¢li all¡hi |
And you advised and you strove in the way of Allah, |
|
wa `abadtahu mukhli¥an ¦att¡ at¡ka aliyaq¢nu |
And you served Him sincerely until death came upon you. |
|
fajaz¡ka all¡hu khayra jaz¡‘i alss¡biq¢na |
So, may Allah award you with the best of the rewarding of the foremost (to deeds of goodness). |
|
wa ¥all¡ all¡hu `alayka wa sallma tasl¢man |
And may Allah bless and exalt you thoroughly. |
|
all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ¡li mu¦ammadin wa ¥alli `al¡ al¦usayni alma¨l£mi |
O Allah: (please) send blessings upon Mu¦ammad and the Household of Mu¦ammad, and send blessings upon al-°usayn, the wronged, |
|
alshshah¢di alrrsh¢di |
The martyr, the orthodox, |
|
qat¢li al`abar¡ti |
The slain one whom is wept heavily, |
|
wa as¢ri alkurub¡ti |
And the object of agonies, |
|
¥alatan n¡miyatan z¡kiyatan mub¡rakatan |
Blessings that are increasing, growing, and sacred; |
|
ya¥`adu awwaluh¡ wa l¡ yanfadu ¡khiruh¡ |
The first of which ascends and the last of which is infinite, |
|
af¤ala m¡ ¥allayta `al¡ a¦adin min awl¡di anbiy¡’ika almursal¢na |
the best blessings that You ever sent on any of Your missioned Prophets’ sons. |
|
y¡ il¡ha al`¡lam¢na |
O the God of the worlds. |
You may then kiss the holy tomb and put your right and then your left cheeks on it. You may then circumambulate it and kiss it from the four sides.
Shaykh al-Muf¢d adds: You may then direct towards the tomb of `Al¢ ibn al-°usayn, stop there, and say the following:
|
alssal¡mu `alayka ayyuh¡ al¥¥idd¢qu al§§ayyibu |
Peace be upon you; O the veracious, the pure, |
|
alzzakiyy al¦ab¢bu almuqarrabu |
The immaculate, the dear, the favorite, |
|
wabna ray¦¡nati ras£li all¡hi |
The son of the basil of Allah’s Messenger. |
|
alssal¡mu `alayka min shah¢din mu¦tasibin |
Peace be upon you; as you are steadfast martyr; |
|
wa ra¦matu all¡hi wa barak¡tuhu |
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you. |
|
m¡ akrama maq¡maka wa ashrafa munqalabaka |
How noble is your position and how honorable is your seat. |
|
ash-hadu laqad shakara all¡hu sa`iyaka |
I bear witness that Allah thanked you for your efforts, |
|
wa ajzala thaw¡baka |
And He magnified your rewards, |
|
wa al¦aqaka bildhdharwati al`¡liyati |
And he joined you to the exalted summit |
|
¦aythu alshsharafu kullu alshsharafi |
Where there is the entire honor |
|
wa f¢ alghurafi alss¡miyati |
In the elevated chambers. |
|
kam¡ manna `alayka min qablu wa ja`alaka min ahli albayti |
Similarly, He had bestowed upon you and made you one of the Household of the Prophet |
|
alladh¢na adhhaba all¡hu `anhumu alrrijsa wa §ahharahum tath¢ran |
From whom Allah removed filth and whom He purified with thorough purification. |
|
¥alaw¡tu all¡hi `alayka wa ra¦matu all¡hi wa barak¡tuhu wa ri¤w¡nuhu |
Allah’s blessings and mercy and benedictions and pleasure be upon you. |
|
fashfa` ayyuh¡ alssayyidu al§§¡hiru il¡ rabbika |
So, O the pure master; (please) intercede for me before your Lord |
|
f¢ ¦a§§i alathq¡li `an ¨ahry wa takhf¢fih¡ `ann¢ |
So that He may unburden and relieve me from the loads (of sins) that I carry on my back. |
|
war¦am dhully wa khu¤£`y laka wa lilssayyidi ab¢ka ¥all¡ all¡hu `alaykum¡ |
And (please) have mercy upon my humbleness and submission to you and to the master, your father. May Allah bless you both. |
You may then throw yourself on the tomb and say the following:
|
z¡da all¡hu f¢ sharafikum f¢ al¡khirati |
May Allah increase your honor in the Hereafter |
|
kam¡ sharrfakum f¢ aldduny¡ |
In the same way as He honored you in this world |
|
wa as`adakum kam¡ as`ada bikum |
And may He bless you in the same way as He blessed others on account of you. |
|
wa ash-hadu annkum a`l¡mu aldd¢ni |
And I bear witness that you are the signposts of the religion |
|
wa nuj£mu al`¡lam¢na |
And the stars of the worlds. |
|
wa alssal¡mu `alaykum wa ra¦matu all¡hi wa barak¡tuhu |
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you. |
You may then direct towards the martyrs and say the following:
|
alssal¡mu `alaykum y¡ an¥¡ra all¡hi |
Peace be upon you (all); O the supporters of Allah |
|
wa an¥¡ra ras£lihi |
And the supporters of His Messenger, |
|
wa an¥¡ra `aliyyi bni aby §¡libin |
And the supporters of `Al¢ ibn Ab¢-±¡lib |
|
wa an¥¡ra f¡§imata |
And the supporters of F¡§imah, |
|
wa an¥¡ra al¦asani wal-¦usayni |
And the supporters of al-°asan and al-°usayn, |
|
wa an¥¡ra al-isl¡mi |
And the supporters of Islam. |
|
ash-hadu annakum laqad na¥a¦tum lill¡hi |
I bear witness that you indeed did sincerely for the sake of Allah, |
|
wa j¡hadtum f¢ sab¢lihi |
And you strove sincerely in His way. |
|
fajaz¡kumu all¡hu `ani al-isl¡mi wa ahlihi af¤ala aljaz¡‘i |
So, may Allah reward you on behalf of Islam and its people with the best of rewarding. |
|
fuztum wall¡hi fawzan `a¨¢man |
By Allah I swear, you did win a great success. |
|
y¡ laytany kuntu ma`akum faf£za fawzan `a¨¢man |
I whish I were with you so that I would win a great success. |
|
ash-hadu annakum a¦y¡‘un `inda rabbkum turzaq£na |
I bear witness that you are alive with your Lord, receiving sustenance. |
|
ash-hadu annakumu alshshuhad¡‘u wal-ssu`ad¡‘u |
I bear witness that you are the true martyrs and the true happy ones. |
|
wa annakumu alf¡’iz£na f¢ daraj¡ti al`ul¡ |
And you are the winners in the most elevated ranks. |
|
wa alssal¡mu `alaykum wa ra¦matu all¡hi wa barak¡tuhu |
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you. |
In his book of ‘al-Balad al-Amin’, Shaykh al-Kaf`amiy has reported Imam al-Sadiq (a.s) as saying that one may stop at the holy tomb of Imam al-Husayn (a.s) and say the following:
|
alhamdu lillahi al`aliyy al`azimi |
All praise be to Allah; the Most High, the All-great. |
|
wa alssalamu `alayka ayyuha al`abdu alsalihu alzzakiyy |
Peace be upon you; O the righteous, pure servant (of Allah). |
|
udi`uka shahadatan minny laka tuqarribuny ilayka fi yawmi shafa`atika |
I entrust with you a testimony of mine that takes me near you on the day of your intercession (for some people). |
|
ash-hadu annaka qutilta wa lam tamut |
I bear witness that although you were slain, you have not died; |
|
bal biraja‘i hayatika hayiyat qulubu shi`atika |
Rather the hearts of your adherents (Shi`ah) are living on the hope of your being alive; |
|
wa biziya‘i nurika ahtada alalibuna ilayka |
And by the light of your illumination have those seeking you been guided (to the right path). |
|
And I bear witness that you are verily the Light of Allah that has not and shall never be extinguished. |
|
And you are verily the Face of Allah that has not and shall never be perishing. |
|
wa ash-hadu ann hadhihi alttrbata turbatuka |
And I bear witness that this soil is yours, |
|
wa hadha alharama haramuka |
And this holy precinct is yours. |
|
wa hadha almasra`a masra`u badanika |
And this death is the death of your body only, |
|
la dhalila wallahu mu`izzuka |
While you have never been humiliated since Allah is the One Who is pouring honor upon you |
|
wa la maghluba wallahu nasiruka |
And you have never been defeated since Allah is the One Who is supporting you. |
|
hadhihi shahadatun li `indaka ila yawmi qabsi ruhy bihasratika |
I would like you to keep this testimony of mine with you up to the day when my soul will be grasped in the presence of you. |
|
wa alssalamu `alayka wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu |
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you. |
